Camping with Grey Niche at Gulf Wars.

Gulf Wars: March 13 - 21, 2010

Believe it or not, you will soon be able to make your reservation for Gulf Wars! Forget about Christmas presents, save your money for Gulf Wars. :-)

Once you have put in your reservation please let me (Luca) or Karen (Caitriona) know that you have done so. Please give us the following information:

  • Your mundane name
  • Your SCA name
  • The name of any others that will be sharing a tent with you
  • Your email address
  • The footprint of your tent. This measurement should include area needed for stakes and rope. NOTE: if you use a tarp/fly over your tent and the ropes & stakes go futher out then the tent stakes, we will want the measurements for the tarp/fly.

If you are setting up an extra tent or have a popup for kitchen use or day pavilion, it will have to fit into the allotted space for your reservation. Each person is allotted a 15 x 15 area. If two or more people are sharing a tent they will have more room to work with.

The barony has a 20' x 40' pavilion which can be set up to use for cooking, eating, lounging, etc...; but people will need to help pay for the alloted space the pavilion will take up; the barony does not pay for extra space for the pavilion.

If people would like the pavilion at Gulf Wars, then the following needs to happen:

Someone will be needed to take responsibility for the baronial pavilion: this will include collecting money for the alloted space; sending in the reservation for the space, arranging to get the pavlion to Gulf Wars and back, along with setup and taken down. If you are interested please let us know.

Families or households wishing to camp in close proximity need to have all measurements and names given to Luca/Caitriona as soon as possible so that the camp layout can be completed and everyone will know where they are to set up before they arrive.

We will need to have your names and measurements no later then Feburary 19th. This will give us time to work on the layout and present it March 2nd, the Business meeting before Gulf Wars starts.

NO campers will be allowed to set up additional tents or pavilions after the deadline has passed.
