Clothing and Regalia   Weaponry

This will be a slightly different contest that is usually presented at events.
While the entries will be things created and documented by our entrants, that’s pretty much where the similarity to other A&S contests ends.

All entries must be Ork related.  For example, if you enter a scroll, calligraphy and illumination category, it should be presented as though you were an Ork and it was being given to an Ork, perhaps showing an Ork as the fighter or archer in the illumination, or praising the dismembering battle ability of the combatant.  An entry in clothing might be a tunic made with pieces of clothing from the makers scavenging at previous raids.

Or possibly period cooking represented by a recipe for some Orkish delight that included beetles, worms, slugs and frogs called Crispy Critters.
(Example: You make an apple pie; but your documentation will contain Orkish ingredients, with Orkish standard measurements.)

All documentation should be done as usual except that your references will be made up as you go along.  I’m fairly sure that the Crispy Critters would be from a book written by Emerald DeGassy, the famous Orkan Chef and the scroll based on designs from Lenard D. Venchy, well-known painter of the past.

More points will be awarded for Creativity than any other criteria.  Execution will be considered as well as presentation. but the higher scores will be given for an item that judges feel could be used by the average Ork in his daily life.  On that note, the judging will be done by Knights, Squires and Pelicans for the most part.  Laurels will be allowed to help, but we feel that Orkan items are best judged by someone closer to the Orkan mind set and therefore will have a clearer understanding of the entry.

Winners will be chosen from Junior (under 18) and Adult divisions.
Comment sheets will not be given as we don’t want to press our judges by requiring them to write.
