Rapier Tournament - armour inspection starts at 9am Saturday

The Tourney of the Ruminants (Like a Tournament of Roses, but with more thrusting!)

Each fighter starts with one sheep which they must defend. In each bout, the opposing fighters try to kill each other and/or their opponent's sheep while defending themselves and their own sheep.
Sheep are killed exactly the same as humans, draw cut or stab to head or torso. You cannot kill your own sheep. You must remain within 3 feet of at least one of your sheep at all times. When a fighter dies, their remaining sheep are transferred to the winning fighter. If a fighter loses all their sheep, he/she is disqualified from the rest of the tourney. The last person standing with sheep wins the tournament and the more sheep they have left, the better off they are. For each sheep the winner has at the end of the tournament, there will be a small prize. The more sheep you have, the more prizes you can get.

While sheep will be provided, we encourage fighters to bring their own sheep. There will be prizes for the most creative sheep and the ugliest sheep. Sheep will be no more than 4 Lbs total weight and approximately the size of a regular bed pillow. There will be no hard objects allowed on or in any sheep. All sheep will be thoroughly padded with no sharp protrusions or abrasive surfaces. It must be reasonably able to withstand field combat, i.e., getting stabbed, grabbed, tossed, whatever, without falling apart. If your sheep falls apart, pops, whatever, it is considered dead.
